About Tessaly

Treasury software for the companies treasury software forgot.

Enterprise treasury systems cost more than most mid-market finance teams earn in a year, and take a year to implement. Spreadsheets cost nothing and are wrong by Tuesday. We started Tessaly in 2019 to build the thing in between.

How we got here

Elena Marchetti spent eight years as a treasurer, the last four at a distributor with eleven legal entities and twenty-three banks. Every Monday her team logged into each bank portal, pasted balances into a workbook and rebuilt the forecast by hand. When she priced an enterprise treasury system, the quote came back at $400,000 plus a twelve-month implementation.

She met Jonah Feld, who had spent years normalizing bank statement formats for a commercial banking platform, and they built the first version of Tessaly for her former employer. It went live in nine days.

Today Tessaly employs 86 people in Chicago and Amsterdam, serves more than 300 finance teams, and is backed by Northgate Capital and Ridgeline Ventures. We opened Amsterdam in 2023 to serve customers in Germany, France and the Benelux in their own language and their own time zone.
